Lisa Marie began dating Chicago-based musician Danny Keough in 1985The couple married three years later on October 3, 1988when she was almost 20 years old. His mother, Priscilla, announced the union at the time, telling PEOPLE, "I'm thrilled for Lisa Marie. Danny is a great guy and I couldn't be happier for both of them."
Following their fall wedding, the newlyweds also had some exciting news to announce: they were pregnant with their first child together and expecting in the spring. Their daughter Danielle Riley Keough was born on May 29, 1989.
Three years later, on October 21, 1992, Lisa Marie and Danny welcomed their second child, Benjamin Storm Presley Keough.
However, after five and a half years of marriage, Lisa Marie and Danny divorced in May 1994.
The former couple remained friends after their split. In 2005 he told PEOPLE that Danny was his new bassist, saying they were "like brother and sister." Not long after divorcing Danny, Lisa Marie married famed musician Michael Jackson in the summer of 1994. The couple secretly married in the Dominican Republic and confirmed the marriage rumors weeks later. Lisa Marie said, "My married name is Mrs. Lisa Marie Presley-Jackson."

Lisa Marie had met Jackson almost 20 years earlier at her late father's concert in Las Vegas. She was 7 years old at the time while Jackson was still a member of the Jackson Five and had not yet started his solo career.
